Work Site Dust Clearance Inspection:

Rhode Island requires that regulated a remodeling project be cleared for lead dust at the end of the job. A licensed inspector will evaluate the work site for dust hazards and collect between 4 and 6 dust samples according to RIDOH protocols.  

What to expect from a Work Site Dust Clearance Inspection:

• 30 minutes per unit inspected
• A Certificate of Acceptable Clearance when cleared
• Standard RIDOH reports e-mailed
• Contractors need to be Licences Renovatore Remodelers when ordering this inspection
• A standard set (3 to 6) of dust samples comes included in the base price

This inspection is typically used for:

• Kitchen and bathroom remodels
• Window replacements
• Renovations that include demolition
• Other remodel jobs where more than six square feet of interior paint is disturbed
